Centennial Celebration Saturday 6/29!
Reminder that this weekend is the Member Member Tournament and our Centennial Celebration which includes our 2025 Membership Raffle!!
A couple things to note:
The golf course will be CLOSED ALL DAY SATURDAY 06/29/2024 for anyone not participating in the Member-Member. There will be no tee times available after the event!!! This does not include the centennial celebration which is open to everyone.
The membership raffle, including all other great prizes will be drawn around 7:00pm Saturday. You do not need to be present to win, but you must have purchased your tickets by 6:45pm to be eligible to win.
Please join us in celebrating the Country Club of Barre’s 100th year anniversary on Saturday, June 29th starting at 5:30pm.
This incredible milestone is a testament to the enduring legacy and cherished memories shared by generations of our community. To mark this momentous occasion, we are organizing a spectacular anniversary celebration at the Club on Saturday, June 29th. Please note that this event will not be part of the Member Member tournament itself, but an additional free event open to all members and guests!
Please let the Pro Shop know if you and any guests plan to attend. This event is free to all who wish to attend, but we would like to get a gauge of numbers beforehand. Signing up is not a binding commitment, but will help us organize and prepare for the event.
What should I expect?
5:30-7:00 pm – Cocktail Hour and Hickory Club Challenge
Light appetizers and a cash bar at Fairways and Greens. Grab a drink and some finger food while checking out a timeline of CCB’s history and reminiscing with friends.
Want to see how your play lines up using historical equipment versus the modern technology we have today? There will be some hickory clubs and older generation golf balls available on the first tee to see how your distance compares. Additionally, we will have a ~150 yard hole set up on the 9th hole to see how close you can stick it without being able to use your favorite wedge.
7:00-7:45pm – Guest Speakers
Join us as golf historian, Kevin Mendik, shares some of CCB’s early history starting with Wayne Stiles’ original course design followed by some more familiar faces discussing the renovation to 18 holes and the changes that shaped the beautiful golf course we have today. Along the way, current and former members will share some of their favorite memories at CCB including our longest tenured CCB Member!
7:45-9:30pm – Membership Raffle and Social Hour
Following our presentation, we encourage members to mingle, swap stories, and check out some of the historical artifacts we’ve gathered to share with you.
Ticket sales for the 2025 Membership Raffle are still underway! There are over 30 prizes already including the grand prize of a 2025 Membership to the Country Club of Barre! Stop by the Pro Shop to buy some tickets for a chance to win some incredible prizes.
